01 Before you contact a service

Write down the outcome you need, your location, age group, time limit and any access requirement. Ask which documents are truly required before travelling.

02 Ask about accessibility

Confirm the entrance, toilet, communication format, interpreter support, waiting arrangement, transport and whether a support person can attend.

03 Prepare an application

Read eligibility first, collect only requested documents, note the deadline and keep a copy of everything you submit.

04 Protect yourself from scams

Do not pay someone who promises guaranteed refugee status, resettlement, a scholarship or a job. Verify through the published official source.

05 Support a child or family member

Include the person in decisions in a way they can understand. Ask what they prefer and protect their private information.

06 Report incorrect information

Send VORA the page, the detail that appears wrong and the official source if you have it. We will pause or correct risky information.

Before you spend money or travel

Check the contact, eligibility and next step first.

If the route is unclear, ask VORA to help you confirm it.
